Where Are You Today?

Image of Question Mark“It is with words as with sunbeams. The more they are condensed, the deeper they burn. ~Robert Southey

Brevity is a force. Some of the shortest articles and quotes I’ve read have had the most profound impact on me. It’s the whole, “less is more,” angle. That’s the spirit of today’s post: brevity.

Where are you in your business journey? Your life journey? Your business journey as it pertains to your life?  Are you feeling fulfilled or is your business and its relative aspirations draining you?

If you’re feeling drained is it because you’re squandering time and effort doing “busy work” or are you focusing on high-priority tasks but going [seemingly] nowhere?

Give your journey some thought today and be honest with where you are. Sometimes we get lost and have to center ourselves again. It’s helpful to take a moment to reassess where you are in respect to where you want to go.

So before you slip into the same old routine today, I’ll ask again, “where are you today?” If you’ve veered off course, that’s OK.  Now it’s time to take a deep breath and plot your course to the place you’d rather be.

Have an amazing day and best wishes on your journey.

I know you schedule your posts in advance, but it’s eerie that this came up today, because it’s exactly what’s been on my mind this morning.

I started 2011 with the goal of putting myself out there more and connecting with more people, and it’s going amazingly well so far. But at the same time, it’s hard not to feel like I’m going in a thousand different directions all the time.

Thanks for the reminder to take the time to evaluate which of these activities are the best use of my time, and which are just sucking up time and energy!

Sarah – The weird thing is I shelved my post that was scheduled for today. Last night at 11pm or so I wrote this one instead because this was on my mind. You are definitely having a busy year but having options is great! Now, as you said, time to trim some of the excess.
